چکیده
Bridges when it crossing rivers often required multiple piers for support. One of has a limited investigation is the impact on scouring and morphological aspects bridge sharp-bend river. Consequently, crucial to investigate hydraulic behavior water flow in these areas due presence piers. In present study, an experimental program was conducted laboratory flume featuring two-pier within 180-degree (sharp) bend accomplish this. The were strategically positioned at 90 150 degrees bend. results indicated that 90o, under threshold intensity condition, led significant local scour depths around Specifically, found be 1.80 1.15 times width pier close outer inner banks, respectively. discharge increased from 240 l/min 280 while maintaining same 0.85, resulting symmetric depth near bank. contrast, response 150o considerably lower; with l/min, measured 0.65 1.18 piers, Similar bed morphology observed two values (280 l/min) 0.85. findings showed increase or decrease value, constant intensity, did not influence its extension bank, indicating component more than discharge.

متن کاملExperimental Study of the Effect of Base-level fall at the Beginning of the Bend on Reduction of Scour around a Rectangular Bridge Pier Located in the 180 Degree Sharp Bend
Base-level fall in river beds occurs due to varying natural or unnatural causes. Base-level fall causes the change in the behavior of flow at the location of drop in base-level. In such situations, most of scour occur at the foot of the slope, and slope wall retreats in the upstream direction. This phenomenon widens the wall of the river bank, thus leading to its destruction. The amount of bed ...

Every year a large number of bridges flooding in the river just when they most need them there destroy all born. Carried out. In this study, the four fulcrum forms a semi-circular, trapezoidal, rectangular edges rounded rectangle 90 degrees at 70 degrees in Sagittarius with four different discharges depth of constant scouring around the abutment in pure water were examined. For material of flum...

The present study used Flow-3D to investigate the effect of installing netted collars with different shapes on bridge piers. The results showed that installing netted triangular, circular, square, and rectangular collars with a hole diameter of 0.1 (d/D) reduced scouring by 49.5, 52.2, 52.7, and 56.5 percent, respectively, compared to the case with no collars. A hole diameter of 0.15 (d/D) for ...
